A lost friend

When did I meet her for the first time? Hmmm... let me see... say about a year ago. No no... ofcourse not! See, I don't believe in the idea of love-at-first-sight and this was no exception. Infact, I was quite choosy about selecting her.
But it happened. As the time passed, we started spending more and more time with each other. A very close association began to grow between us... a chemistry that was hitherto completely alien to me. We studied together, watched movies, listened to songs... time seemed to fly by with her.
Yes, we did have rough patches. At times she did get into my nerves. But truly speaking, we never had any big fight.
Now when I think about those days, about our relationship... i can say only one thing... it was magical! The way we used to understand each other... "It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart". The connection seemed to be so seamless!
But those days are gone now. In quest for a "better" future, I moved on and moved away. Silently she saw me going away. And for the first time, I didn't try to understand her silence.
I don't know how should I end this blog. I just want to say that I had to write this blog to let others know how much you meant to me. I know you've changed a lot by now... me too... but wherever you are, I'll always remember you as one of my best friends at IISc. Goodbye again, Ocean. You are the best computer one can have.

well written. Quite misleading in the beginning it was seeming like another devdas kind of story but then ends like an english movie ....keep it up Arnab. Waiting for more such write ups..

@sindhu
It all depends on how you see it... rather how you feel it. You can watch the movie "Ajantrik" (literal translation: non-mechanical) by Ritwik Ghatak.

hmmm!!! Its sad that you lost such a great companion. Next time you get into such a relationship, make sure she is all yours -this entire life.

Well written, however at some points the personalization of your beloved "Ocean" seemed to be a little bit more exaggerated. Otherwise, an excellent stuff. Arnab, are you a relative of O Henry, eh?

@Maunendra
O' Henry? Now who is exaggerating?

was just curious of the title, then while reading i was able to get the connection, was thinking of someone, however got disappointed about who OCEAN is or i might say, i prefer OCEAN to be someone not something. good one...

I went till Ocean and stopped.. Without reading the next line I went on to think what you might be trying to convey. Sagarika.. I pinged a few friends to find a Girls name which translated to Ocean. Then I read the next line. Nice writeup.
